The Bosque County Court Calendar
Bosque County splits its official calendar into a County Clerk Calendar, a County Court at Law Calendar, and a District Clerk Calendar, keeping those apart from community events, elections, jury service, and meetings. Pick the court's own category. The "All Calendars" view mixes in events that have nothing to do with hearings. The system offers List, Week, and Month views. It also has date ranges, keyword search, past-event display, printing, notices, and an iCalendar subscription.
Real session names appear on these pages. You will see District Court Criminal Non-Jury Docket, District Court Civil Non-Jury Docket, District Court Civil Bench Trial, District Court Civil Jury Trial Docket, County Court at Law Docket, and Title IV-D Child Support Court (ZOOM). Those are the actual titles. Bosque County publishes no local glossary covering every hearing term you might run into.
Bosque County Court Calendar Categories
Why does the category picker matter? The combined calendar mixes court settings with events that never touch a courtroom. Someone chasing a district setting in the Bosque County court docket should pick District Clerk Calendar. Skip the rest. County Court at Law dates sit in their own bucket. And a County Clerk entry does not always map to a District Clerk cause, so a date in one category tells you nothing firm about the other.
The official combined calendar is where that selector and its week view live. Filter by category before you dig through hearing dates on the docket.
A mixed display works fine for county scheduling. For a case setting, though, filter down to the responsible court so you do not read some unrelated event as your hearing date.
How to Find Your Court Date
Begin with the appearance date on your citation, the latest notice of setting, or a signed order. Then work through whatever confirmed channels fit the case. The calendar and the dated criminal PDFs are public convenience tools. re:SearchTX adds a case-level electronic view for registered users, but it still cannot replace the local clerk.
- Identify the court and exact cause number from the latest case paper.
- Open the official county calendar, select the correct court category, and enter a date range or search phrase.
- For a criminal session, also inspect the County Clerk's dated criminal PDF directory.
- Open re:SearchTX if the cause is present and compare the latest setting or reset.
- Call the custodian: District Clerk 254-435-2334, County Court at Law 254-435-6601, County Clerk 254-435-2201 or 254-435-6606, JP1 254-435-2921, or JP2 254-675-8939.
- Visit the proper clerk counter if an online entry is absent, or consult the attorney of record about the controlling notice.
- Use any official courtroom posting or daily docket call as a same-day aid, while following the judge's order and clerk direction.
Bosque County does not advertise a universal public terminal or a daily printed calendar. If you need that kind of access, call the clerk before you travel.
Bosque County District Clerk Calendar
The District Clerk Calendar is the focused route for many 220th District Court and District-Clerk-managed settings.
The filter bar includes Start Date, End Date, Search Terms, and Show Past Events. Calendar selection and display controls sit there too. One entry was titled District Court Criminal Non-Jury Docket. It ran from 9 a.m. to noon at the Courthouse, 110 South Main Street, Meridian. A notice at that level names the session, not every cause number in it.
Open the More Details page. It shows the event's title, date, time range, location, address, and print or sharing options. Then tie the event to your case through the docket or the clerk.
Reading a Court Setting
A setting line tells you when and where the court expects activity. That is all it tells you. One broad session can cover many cases, and a remote label may attach to a single named docket without making every hearing remote.
| Date | The scheduled day; compare it with the newest order or notice. |
|---|---|
| Time | The session or docket-call time, which may not be an individual case's exact start. |
| Courtroom | The facility or room if listed; “Courthouse” details resolve to 110 South Main in inspected events. |
| Judge | The presiding judge or court assignment, which is not consistent in generic results. |
| Setting Type | A bench trial, jury docket, non-jury docket, hearing, or other named session. |
| Cause Number | Not consistently exposed in the calendar; use the case record or clerk. |
The signed, case-specific setting controls over a broad public event description.
Bosque County Court Calendar Terms
Local titles hint at the event's purpose. A bench trial goes to a judge, with no jury. A jury trial docket is often a group session. It is not proof that a particular jury was picked. A non-jury docket simply gathers several matters for court action.
- Docket
- A dated court session or a case's chronological list, depending on context.
- Notice of setting
- A case-specific notice identifying a scheduled court event.
- Continuance
- A court-approved move of a setting to another date.
- Reset
- A later setting that replaces an earlier date.
- Title IV-D Child Support Court (ZOOM)
- A confirmed Bosque calendar label for a remote child-support session, not a rule for all cases.
Do not guess at an abbreviation you cannot explain. The clerk or a signed order can decode an uncertain local label.
Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations
Trust the newest paper. A later docket entry, amended notice, signed continuance order, or reset outranks an old calendar row every time. "Show Past Events" keeps prior sessions on purpose, and a recurring docket title stays visible even after your case moves. Search the cause record before assuming that a vanished calendar row means dismissal.
Work down an authority chain. The latest signed order or case-specific notice comes first, then the court coordinator or judge's office, then the clerk's calendar or dated PDF, and only last the broad county calendar. For District Court, call 254-435-2334. For County Court at Law, call 254-435-6601. Ask specifically whether the date, time, place, appearance method, and purpose of the setting all changed.
Bosque County Court Calendar PDF Comparison
The County Court at Law may post a dated docket PDF. CivicEngage, meanwhile, carries a calendar event. The PDF can list case rows or session details the broad event leaves out. The calendar, in turn, can supply a time, place, category, and subscription tools. Neither one is a certified case record on its own.
When the two channels disagree, hunt for a later notice in the cause file. Then call the court. The county-linked site itself warns that it is a convenience service. Images may be unavailable during backups, it notes.
What To Do If You Miss a Setting
Reach the court, the clerk, and your attorney of record right away. Give them the cause number, the court, the missed date, and your contact information. Ask whether a capias, warrant, bond action, default, dismissal, or new setting has been entered. Clerks can explain records and procedure. But they cannot pick your legal strategy.
Missed a Setting? A missed date can lead to additional court action, including a capias or warrant in a criminal matter, bond forfeiture, default, or another order.
Call the court that owns the cause before going to a building or sending payment.
Consult a licensed attorney about the legal effect and the safest way to address a missed Bosque County setting.
Bosque County Remote and Closure Checks
Bosque County posts some hearings online. The District Clerk calendar shows a ZOOM label for Title IV-D Child Support Court, and County Court at Law links its own remote-hearing instructions. Get your meeting link and passcode only from the official event entry or a court order. One specialized online session does not mean every Bosque County court calendar entry is remote, so check each hearing on its own.
Weather closures work the same way. No single rule or fixed posting window governs them. Watch the official Bosque County site for alerts and holiday schedules, then confirm with the court itself. A closure changes access, but it does not resolve or dismiss the case. Printing or subscribing to the calendar is handy, though the live entry and case notice deserve a final look near the hearing date.
Pin down the building, not just the format. One District Court event listed simply as “Courthouse,” which means 110 South Main Street in Meridian. County Court at Law handles civil, family, CPS, and juvenile matters that may sit in the Judicial Building at 401 S Hill instead. The clerk counter holding a case file and the courtroom hosting its hearing are not always under one roof.
Municipal and justice court dates never appear on the general district calendar. A sheriff citation directs you to the right JP, not the Sheriff's Office. City citations from Clifton, Meridian, Morgan, Valley Mills, or Walnut Springs belong in that municipal court unless an appeal moves the case to County Court at Law. Reading the issuing court first saves you from searching the wrong docket.
Print, Notify Me, and Subscribe to iCalendar all help you track a hearing. None of them is foolproof. A reset can leave your printout or subscribed event stale, so reopen the live event, check the cause docket, and hunt for any later order before you drive over or log in. Bosque County sources do not promise real-time updates to a personal calendar.
